Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2025
At isitroasttime.com, your privacy isn’t just important — it’s non-negotiable. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
1. What We Collect
We collect the following types of data to make the site actually work:
- Input data: Roast bios, character names, and images you upload for generation purposes.
- Usage stats: Things like how many roasts you’ve generated or which roast mode is most popular — stored in aggregate, not tied to your identity.
- Account info: If you sign up, we store your email and username securely using Firebase Authentication.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only to:
- Generate your requested roast, story, or export using AI.
- Display roasts on public leaderboards or the Roast Board (only if you choose to share them).
- Improve site performance and understand what features people use — in aggregate only.
3. No Creepy Tracking
We don’t sell your data. We don’t track you across the web. We don’t run ads with shady third-party trackers. No cross-site cookies, no sneaky pixels, no “surprise, we sold your soul” fine print.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored securely in Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related services). We follow best practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, or leaks. That includes strict access controls, server-side security rules, and encrypted connections.
5. Your Rights
You’re always in control of your data. Depending on where you live, that may include the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we store about you.
- Ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data (you can also use the in-app “Delete Account” option in Settings).
To request anything above, email us at privacy@isitroasttime.com. No forms, no phone trees — just humans.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally (because laws, lawyers, and the internet keep evolving). When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we ever make a major change, we’ll highlight it in-app or via email when appropriate.
Roasting is our job — not spying.
